Les Catholiques et les protestants, en France, sont en guerre civile. C’est une lutte entre l’Etat catholique et les opposants à la religion et au pouvoir royal. Beaucoup de Protestants (on les appelle « les Huguenots ») ont émigré pour fuir les persécutions , surtout en Allemagne, aux Pays-Bas, en Suisse, en Angleterre. |

civil war. The
Catholic king feels his power threatened by he opponents of religion and
royal ruling. Many
protestants (they’re called « Huguenots ») emigrated to
escape persecutions, especially in Germany, in the Netherlands, in
Switzerland and England. |
