LAS CORTES DE CÁDIZ Estas fueron las principales reformas políticas, económicas, sociales y jurídicas adoptadas por las Cortes de Cádiz:		Las Cortes de Cádiz was a national legislative assembly based in the refuge of Cadiz during the occupation of Spain in the Napoleonic Wars. The Cádiz Cortes were seen as a major step towards liberalism and democracy in the history of Spain. The most important political, economical, social or legislative reforms were:
Libertad de imprenta (1810) Abolición del régimen señorial Supresión de la Inquisición (1813) Libertad económica, comercial, de trabajo y de fabricación (1813) Tímida desamortización de algunos bienes de la Iglesia. LA CONSTITUCIÓN DE 1812 Aprobada el 19 de marzo de 1812 y popularmente conocida como “La Pepa”, este texto legal fue la primera constitución liberal del país. La constitución de 1812 es uno de los grandes textos liberales de la historia, siendo muy célebre en su tiempo.		The Spanish Constitution of 1812 was promulgated by “Las Cortes de Cádiz” the national legislative assembly. The Spaniards baptized the constitution "La Pepa" because it was enacted in Cádiz on Saint Joseph's Day in March, 19th .(Pepe is a nickname for José and Pepa is the female equivalent used because constitución is a feminine noun).
